The Powers of the Mechanical Pencil
Since school will be starting soon, I’m trying to compile a list of the ten most useful things one can do with a mechanical pencil. Thus far, I’ve only come up with four items on the list:
- Write with it (*sigh*)
- Use its spring as a cannon and shoot paper clips around
- Pop balloons
- Carry encoded documents inside the hollow cylinder
Does anybody have any other possible uses for this multi-talented object?

So we’re up to number seven… let’s see if three years has added any uses to my mind…
8. Extract the graphite, compress it, and make a diamond for profit
9. Pretend it’s a microphone and sing into it with all your heart
10. Erase with it (duh… why didn’t I think of this before?)
